George earned his B.S. in Chemical and Process Engineering from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) working on rheology and capillary suspensions for investment casting slurries. He earned his master’s from KIT after finishing his master’s thesis as a visiting student at ETH Zurich in Christoph Muellers’ group. His thesis focused on Synthesis and Characterization of Bifunctional Ca-Based Materials for in situ CO2 Capture and Dry Reforming of Methane. During his studies George did several internships including BASF SE, Fraunhofer ISE, ExxonMobil and Sensirion AG. Currently, he is 1st year Ph.D. student in the Sievers lab working on upgrading plastics pyrolysis vapors over zeolite catalysts.
